I paid Pantaenius insurance for my boat for nine years and had never made a claim from their Skive office in Denmark. I sank my 28 foot Great Dane in a storm while tied up in a harbour in the Med. and after eight months of arguing with Mr John Bislev I was offered 1/4 of th value of the boat. For the first eght months they just played games and totally refused to pay anything, even though it took Pantaenius a week and a half to raise the boat out of the water whereafter all of the electrics/ mast/ motor everything was destroyed. They are simply pathetic and I now know of at least ten other stories where Pantaenius have screwed their customers. DO NOT USE PANTAENIUS, their colour broshures are not worth shit. I have now taken the matter to the Danish Insurance Ombudsman. be warned.
